2024 SHRM-Memphis Certification Scholarship Application
Applications will be accepted till October 27, 2024

SHRM-Memphis offers scholarships to SHRM members seeking their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

Scholarship Award Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current SHRM National Professional Member
  • Affiliated with SHRM-Memphis Chapter
  • Current SHRM-Memphis board members and committee members
  • Meet eligibility requirements for SHRM-Memphis Certification Study Group
  • Meet eligibility for the SHRM Certification Exam in Window #1 or Window #2


Application Process:

  • Submit Application
  • Submit Current Resume
  • Submit a Short essay about your professional human resources career and accomplishments, future career plans, academic/training, SHRM-Memphis chapter participation, volunteerism, and your explanation for pursuing the scholarship.


Selection Criteria:

  • 60% Work Experience and Essay
  • 25% Current SHRM-Memphis Affiliation
  • 15% SHRM-Memphis Chapter Participation and Attendance


Please note that the process is not complete until the application, resume, and essay are submitted all at once. Applications are reviewed and scored by SHRM-Memphis board members. All decisions are final. The scholarships are available every year.

Award Distribution:

If you are selected to receive a SHRM-Memphis Scholarship, you will receive a check in the scholarship amount. You can use the scholarship to reimburse study group fees, certification exam fees, learning system fees, transfer fees, or any associated fees.
